The Restaurant

With a vibrant, continental feel, 2 Fore Street is a relaxed and stylish bistro-style restaurant on Mousehole harbour front with views across Mount's Bay as well as a beautiful secluded garden to enjoy long summer days. The menu changes regularly to reflect the freshest of local produce with an array of mouthwatering options from a hand-picked crab salad, to a delicious homemade burger to grilled lemon sole fillets with samphire. The perfect atmosphere for Sunday morning cup of coffee, lunch straight off the beach or to meet friends for dinner over a chilled glass of prosecco.

Good Cornwall Guide

Gloriously unpretentious, the restaurant sits at right angles to the harbour, monopolising quite possibly the best views in Mousehole.

Serving fresh Cornish seafood (and meat dishes), a very friendly and modern restaurant. With small garden out the back for a chilled out lunch in the sun.

For views, service, food and value for money it is not to be beaten. The food is fresh and well cooked, because it is a local restaurant it has local ingredients.

Behind The Scenes

Kerry, Front-of-House

Kerry is Mousehole born and bred and inspires a real team atmosphere to the front-of-house, ensuring a relaxed and seamless efficiency is always maintained. Attention to detail is her forté and expects the same from her staff, as well as being attentive and on hand when you need them.

Joe, Kitchen

Classically-trained under Raymond Blanc, Joe has passion and dedication in equal measure. Sourcing all the ingredients from local suppliers where possible, training apprentices and seemingly ever-present in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are of the highest possible quality.

Mousehole

Sitting in the shelter of Mounts Bay, some two and a half miles from Penzance, lies the historic fishing village of Mousehole, once described by Dylan Thomas as the loveliest in England although a few Cornishmen might dispute the English bit! Pronounced 'Mowzel', the village was recorded as early as 1266 and you get a real sense of timelessness as you wander the narrow streets, while the picturesque harbour offers a safe, sandy beach at low tide.
